Small tests with the animation for stop motion class I did. 

(I had Traci help me with the third one ^-^ )

I've finally after weeks of toiling around; finalized a treatment for my animation!!! :D I just hope i can follow through with it.....

Treatment

The animation opens with my logo flashing across the screen and give off small ambient noises as it flickers.

-Darkness overtakes the screen as the soft hushaaaing of wind calls-

Nala

“I’ve always wanted to go see the outside world”

*crunching of grass*

-Darkness overtakes the screen-

Nala

“When they finally let me run free, I couldn’t believe how beautiful everything was”..

*Heavy breathing*

-Darkness with silence-

Nala

“I’m finally here”

Camera close up on a little puddle- Nala’s footsteps on it, splashing water.

Next shot

-Front on (upper body) Nala running

-Nala still running

Next shot

Nala leaps into the shot does a roll and runs off in a direction before hiding behind a tree trunk to catch her breath.

*camera zooms in on her face and there’s a still as it shows her description like a game might*

Next shot she peeks her head into the shot

Overhead shot as the camera shows what’s been chasing her*

*a big monster comes lumbering into the clearing and its sniffing around*

*it shoots its head up and sees Nala; with a roar it starts to run towards her*

Next shot

Nala jumps from cover and shoots an energy blast at the monster.

The bolt flies and creates a small vape-like explosion off the monster with little effect*

Next shot

Nala’s eyes widen with shock as she turns to start running again

She runs on for a while but soon realises the monster is’nt around anymore.

Utterly confused she turns and looks in all directions

*a branch snaps from above*

Camera shoots up and reveals the monster hanging from the tree tops leering down at her.

As it let’s go and falls toward her the camera follows it quickly.

Next shot

A earthy explosion billows up followed by Nala shooting from the clouds and rolls viciously outside the trees where she shakily picks herself up

Over the shoulder shot as the monster follows her out into the clearing as well

Nala’s frantically gropes around her utility belt and her hand comes across an energy bolt. She snatches it up

*camera shot and her hands comes in and reveals a red energy cylinder*

Flashback to her grandpa

*a still of her grandpa*

Grandpa

“Beware Nala, the powers of this magical artefact is immense.. Use it only at the utmost of importance”..

When she snaps out of her dream, the monsters already closed half the gap and approaching rapidly it takes one leap and smashes into her sending her and the cylinder flying.

*she skids to a halt*

 She makes a swipe for the cylinder but it falls short of the edge and falls*

*bottom up camera as she flies into and down the shot*

She jumps up and flies off the side in hot pursuit of the cylinder

Nala manages to reach it but the monster sliding after her is rolling towards her at high velocity

Screaming, she starts running

They both reach the ground and immediately break down and start catching their breath

*they both spring up*

Nala

This ends here as she gets in position.

Earth around monsters feet crunch as it springs up into the air

Nala cries out fiercely as she throws her last hope and the blinding flash blots out the screen

-Screen blacks out-

Nala

“I’ve worked so hard to get here and I’m gonna fight to stay”.

End credits roll

I've never really done characters and backgrounds so this was me actually trying to draw in a character within some a nature-esk background

Our first exhibition

me and my course mates held our first exhibition today with me as the catering team leader AND student speech guy ^-^ 

good evening ladies and gentlemen...

I've got to follow up on my tasks as the catering teams leader for today afternoons exhibition of our projects today. I got a $90 check-thingy to go buy food and drink for the ordeal.. my team hasn't even shown up yetXD well I had a mental breakdown cause i didnt think my stuff was anywhere near good enough to be put in the gallery but my tutor 'strongly' insisted...

Guess what?.. I'm still catching up

Alright.. good news and bad news. I finished my essay up on Sunday :D ...but... an interesting event hit me that kind of makes me feel quite sulky to be honest Last week, One of the tutors told us we have to hold an exhibition in the lounger downstairs and (I heard...) we had to have our material ready to print by Thursday so we could present it on Friday. Well Thursday was the day I was trying to aim towards so I was battling tasks from my other classes trying to get on top of them as well as the animated shot of my animation project that one of my tutor wanted BUT!

And I say but with a just cause, it TURNS out, my tutor wanted to see the finalized, printable- gallery stuff today. A.K.A Tuesday. Not Thursday, Tuesday. And so not only do I not have the animated shot she had wanted because I spent the rest of Monday after course trying to re-place the frames into the gallery format. I got pretty close but I still didn't finish it.

And that's what led me to today. 10:12 a.m with basically nothing I can show her and an even pettier reason for why I don't have anything. "I had too much to juggle"? or "I must have misheard"?... Gahhh.... But the thing is? I have spent every single day except for one Wednesday last week coming in to course and trying to get on top of all the piled homework, assignments and etc but it seems I've bitten off more than I can chew.

In since It's been a while since I uploaded anything of mine;

To start this post off, I know I've neglected my blogging duties a tad but in my defense, I was crazy buried under a lot of work of which i'm still drying to heave off me. a little status report

Friday 4/09/2015: I worked in course all day again trying to animate a shot that my animation tutor wants to see by Monday but after three different approaches and seven hour later, I was thoroughly depressed with what came out so i got rid of them. In preparation however, I still have three animated shots without details in my storyboard so i plan to pull one out and go through it Sunday and a bit on monday. 

Saturday 5/09/2015: I started my essay and did A LOT of research to my dismay... I am officially 3/4 through buyt they close down in like 10 mins so I have to get put NOW...
